From Dr. Hancock
This week all K-4 schools across the District returned to the green instructional mode. We will continue learning “in green” unless we communicate to you otherwise.
*Important Information about Remote Learning*
As in years past, when a student is ill, they will be marked absent for the day(s) missed. Students should not be joining zoom links or completing Seesaw assignments when home sick from school.
If your child will be out for an extended period, please first reach out to our nurse, Mrs.Lancelotta (firstname.lastname@example.org). After you talk to her, you may reach out to your child’s teacher to ask if/when remote learning can take place. Your child’s teacher will provide you with details about how your child’s remote schedule may look during their extended absence.
A child’s one-day absence does not mean they will automatically zoom into the class’s lessons/work/morning meetings. Remote instruction needs to be coordinated between the teacher and you.
Please do not have your child zoom into a morning meeting or class lesson until you have communicated with and heard back from the teacher.
Tuesday is an early dismissal day and elementary students are dismissed at 1:40pm!
