Nitrauer Update — September 17th

Hello, Nitrauer Parents,

Thank you for your support of the implementation of our Health & Safety Plan, including student compliance with our measures pertaining to face coverings and social distancing. Students have been doing a great job with these things.

Recently, a local health provider strongly recommended the use of face masks in lieu of other face coverings (i.e., gaiters, shields, bandanas) in our schools.

At this time, however, the DOH (Department of Health)  has not issued a mandate for students and school staff to only wear masks, but we will remain alert to the possibility that this requirement may occur in the future.

Back-to-School Night

Picture Day – Thursday, October 8 
All students (both remote and face-to-face) will have picture day on October 8. Our face-to-face learners will have pictures taken during the school day, as usual. Our remote learners will sign up for a timeslot in the evening of October 8. A Sign-up Genius will be sent to families of remote learners next week. Details about order school pictures will be coming shortly, stay tuned!

Nitrauer’s Health Room
Mrs. Lancelotta is Nitrauer’s Certified Nurse and has Tele-Heath Room hours available to all families via Zoom from 10am to 2pm, daily. Click here to access Tele-HealthYou can also contact Mrs. Lancelotta directly at or (717) 735-1527. 

Please continue to monitor your child’s temperature daily prior to coming to school. If their temperature is greater than 100.4 or they are not feeling well, please keep them home. If you do not have a thermometer at home, please reach out to your building’s school nurse and she will obtain a thermometer for your home.
