*Friendly’s is hosting a Fun Night(fundraising night) for the Nitrauer PTO this Tuesday, October 15th from 5-8pm.During this time, 10% of all sales will be donated to our PTO.
*We are very excited to have Rosemary Wells visit our school this week from October 15th – 17th this year as an Author in Residencefor our students. She will be meeting with each grade level two times to discuss and share her process and inspiration for having published more than 120 books. Rosemary has a wealth of knowledge with the writing process and is excited to share her experiences with our students.
Parent volunteers are needed to act as her host on the days she is here. We still need help on Thursday, October 17th.Here is the link to volunteer: Volunteer Sign Up. Once you have signed up, Mrs. Canady, our school Librarian, will contact you prior to the event and ensure that you have everything you need. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
We are also interested in having a luncheon provided by the PTO on Thursday, October 17th in the faculty room. Items should be brought to the Nitrauer office between 9:30 and 10:00 on October 17th. *The Book Nook will be returning to Nitrauer on Wednesday, October 23rd! Students will be able to purchase used books at the Book Nook. Paperback books are $0.25 and hardcover books are $0.50. No checks, please. Small cash & change only! Volunteers with valid clearances interested in helping can contact Amanda Willey at firstname.lastname@example.org.We are always accepting book donations which can be dropped off in the office.
*Save the Date for the Annual Nitrauer Fall Fest! Join friend for an evening of fun on Monday, October 28th from 5-7 pm. Plan on eating dinner at Nitrauer before heading out for the parade through the surrounding neighborhood as Scoops food truck will be at Fall Fest. Kids are welcome to wear an appropriate costume (no weapon accessories). *Please make sure to have your child’s name somewhere on their jackets and sweaters as many are left on the playgrounds after being outside, and on the OUTSIDE of their lunch boxes, so we can make sure to get your items back where they belong!
