*FUN FEST 2019
will be held Friday, May 17th from 5-8pm!  This is an annual event at Nitrauer where friends and family can come together as a community.  All proceeds benefit the Nitrauer PTO sponsored projects and events.  See Fun Fest Flyer 2019 for more details as well as to order wristbands and raffle tickets in advance.  There will also be many volunteer needs to make Fun Fest a success.  Keep an eye out for the sign-up.  Additionally, each class has been assigned a theme for the Basket Raffle.  Basket donations are due by May 14th.  See Fun Fest – Raffle Basket for details!  Please contact Brenna Colosi at with any questions related to Fun Fest and Elizabeth Roda at with any questions related to the Raffle Baskets.

*The last Mix It Up Lunch for this school year is coming up on Friday, May 17th.  Students consistently identify the cafeteria as a place in their school where divisions are clearly -and sometimes harshly – drawn.  So, every other month we ask students to move out of their comfort zones and connect with someone new over lunch.  Studies have shown that interactions across group lines can help reduce prejudice.  When students interact with those who are different from them, biases and misconceptions can fall away.  During Mix It Up Lunch we will ask parent volunteers to help hand out popsicle sticks to mix students up with their seating and help students interact while they eat their lunch.  If you would like to volunteer for this event please sign up at: Mix It Up Lunch Volunteer Sign Up.  If you have any questions please contact Maggie Foley:

*Come out and support the Nitrauer PTO at Rita’s on Granite Run Drive Thursday, May 30th from 6-9pm.  Nitrauer will receive 15% of all sales from that night!

*Please keep bringing us your wonderful used books for the Book Nook to give us a good start for the first book nook next fall.  The collection gets more exciting every time thanks to your generous donations of k-4 gently used books.

*If you are missing any jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes, etc. please have your student check the lost & found.  There are many items waiting to be returned to their home.
