Announcements:

*The PTO has the following openings for the 2018/2019 school year:

** Ice Cream Social/Friendly’s Night Chair – coordinate the date and time of Nitrauer’s back to school ice cream social as well as three back to school nights with Friendly’s.
**Spiritwear Chair – organize the sale of Nitrauer t-shirts in the fall.

*The Manheim Township High School Ice Hockey Club will be hosting free “Learn to Play Hockey” sessions at the Lancaster Ice Rink on March 31st & April 3rd for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade.  See MTIH Learn to Play for more information.

*Friendly’s is hosting another Fundraising Night for the Nitrauer PTO next Thursday, April 5th from 5-8 pm. During this time 10% of all sales will be donated to our PTO.  See Friendlys flier – April  for more information.

*The Nitrauer PTO skating party will be held next Saturday, April 7th from 10am to 12pm at the Overlook Skating Rink.  Admission is covered by the PTO and is free to Nitrauer students and their families.  Skates may be rented or you can bring your own. The rental fee is $3.00 for roller skates and $4.00 for in-line skates.  The Overlook Skating Rink is located at 301 Golf Drive, Lancaster.

*Save Friday, May 18th from 5-8pm for FUN FEST 2018!  There will be many volunteer needs to make Fun Fest a success.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Brenna Colosi at brennakhanrahan@gmail.com.

*Book Nook parent volunteers are needed for this coming Wednesday, April 4th. Please email Laura McCamant at weelittlegreentoad@yahoo.com if you are able to help.  We will have a freebie table this time with books for younger siblings if your student wishes to take one home for a family member.  We will continue collecting elementary level books for next year’s Book Nook thru the last week of school in the school office.  Thank you to those who continue to send in your wonderful books.  See Final Book Nook for more information for this last Book Nook of this school year.

*PSSA Testing begins at Nitrauer in April.  Your help at home is appreciated during this time (and always) in being sure your child is getting appropriate rest during these testing windows.  Snacks will be provided for 3rd and 4th graders on PSSA test days.  Attendance and getting to school on time is important during this testing period as testing begins promptly at 9:15am.
*April 10th-13th – Reading & Writing for 3rd & 4th grade
*April 17th-20th – Math for 3rd & 4th grade
*April 24th-25th – Science for 4th grade
