*Thank you to Diana Hanna for helping us to celebrate some of our wonderful staff over the past couple of weeks!

*Please see March 2019 Meeting Minutes for minutes from this month’s PTO meeting.  Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 16th at 7pm in the Faculty Room.  We hope you can join us!

*Township Cares, a OneTownship Community Event is sponsoring a spring cleaning collection to assist families in Manheim Township.  Cleaning supplies will be collected through Wednesday, April 24th.  See TOWNSHIP CARES Spring 2019 for more details as well as specific items being collected

*Do you have any pictures of Nitrauer events?  If so, please email them to for possible entry in this year’s yearbook. If you have any questions, contact Diana at  All photos are due by April 5th.

*The Nitrauer PTO skating party is Saturday, April 6th from 4pm to 7pm at the Overlook Skating Rink.  Admission is covered by the PTO and is free to Nitrauer students and their families.  Skates may be rented or you can bring your own. The rental fee is $3.00 for roller skates and $4.00 for in-line skates.  The skating rink accepts cash only.  The Overlook Skating Rink is located at 301 Golf Drive, Lancaster.

*Friendly’s is hosting another Fundraising Night for the Nitrauer PTO on Thursday, April 11th from 5-8 pm. During this time 10% of all sales will be donated to our PTO.  See April Friendlys Flier for more information.

*This final Book Nook for this school year will be Wednesday, April 10th.  Please have your child bring small change for 1 or 2 books.  Books sell for $0.25 soft cover and $0.50 hard cover.  Each child can purchase no more than 2 books.  It’s a great opportunity for them to learn spending limitations and have fun shopping for something that has value for themselves.  Often we find they even shop for siblings.
*Please keep bringing us your wonderful used books.  The collection gets more exciting every time thanks to your generous donations of k-4 gently used books.
*Volunteers with clearances, the time will be 9-12:30.  Please email Laura McCamant at if you would like to help out.

*Continuing through May 1st, Nitrauer is participating in a penny challenge to help Ponderosa Elementary School in Paradise, CA which was destroyed by the wildfires.  Please Penny Drive – Ponderosa Elementary School  for more information.

*Save Friday, May 17th from 5-8pm for FUN FEST 2019!  There will be many volunteer needs to make Fun Fest a success.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Brenna Colosi at

*PSSA Testing begins at Nitrauer later this month.  Your help at home is appreciated during this time (and always), in being sure your child is getting appropriate rest during these testing windows.  Snacks will be provided for 3rd and 4th graders on PSSA test days.  Attendance and getting to school on time is important during this testing period as testing begins promptly at 9:15am.
