Announcements:

*Last week’s Book Nook was so great!  The kids really enjoyed shopping for a book and seeing their friends find joy in getting a book that they may have donated.   Thank you to Laura McCamant, Sheryl DePanfilis, and Amanda Willey for organizing this project!
*Please keep bringing us your wonderful used books to give us a good start for the first book nook next fall.  The collection gets more exciting every time thanks to your generous donations of k-4 gently used books.

*Thank you to all who joined us at the Fundraising Night for the Nitrauer PTO at Friendly’s last week!

*Thank you to the many families who participated in the Barnes & Noble fundraiser last month!  Our school made $247.19 in Barnes & Noble Gift Cards.  This money goes directly to our classroom teachers for their classroom libraries.

*All parents are invited to join us at our monthly PTO meetings.  They are held in the Nitrauer Teacher’s Lounge at 7pm on the third Tuesday of the month.  Our next meeting will be this Tuesday, April 16th.  Hope to see you there!

*PSSA Testing begins at Nitrauer this week.  Your help at home is appreciated during this time (and always), in being sure your child is getting appropriate rest during these testing windows.  Snacks will be provided for 3rd and 4th graders on PSSA test days.  Attendance and getting to school on time is important during this testing period as testing begins promptly at 9:15am.  Please see (2019 PSSA Color Days) for the color days during the PSSA’s.

*Great job Nitrauer students & community – over $4000 was sent to Ponderosa Elementary School this week! Donations to the penny challenge can be brought to school through May 1st.  Please Penny Drive – Ponderosa Elementary School  for more information.
*Township Cares, a OneTownship Community Event is sponsoring a spring cleaning collection to assist families in Manheim Township.  Cleaning supplies will be collected through Wednesday, April 24th.  See TOWNSHIP CARES Spring 2019 for more details as well as specific items being collected.

*The Nitrauer PTO invites you and your family to join us for Movie Night at Penn Cinema on May 1st or 8th!  We will be watching Wonder Park.  A movie that encourages imagination to come alive!  Movie tickets are just $5 a person! See Family Movie Night for more details.
